Screening Criteria

 

What we look for:

  • A mix of early-stage or healthy mature company with a scalable business model, growth-oriented with potential for high growth
  • A line of business that matches our members’ areas of expertise (software, healthcare device, manufacturing, products and services)
  • Businesses that require up to $250,000 capital for growth, repositioning, or launch
  • Opportunities to a lead round of funding >$250,000 but less than $1,000,000
  • Opportunity for a Harbright board seat (when appropriate)
  • Valuation in line with early-stage opportunities
  • Preferred businesses located within driving distance of the Raleigh-Durham area and Soth East, but have invested outside the region
  • Proprietary technology or other proprietary position
